We have internet at 9100 feet! We are in Chame, Manang right now we
turned back after last night in Pisang, we were hit with a lot of rain
on our first day of hiking so it was snowing in the higher elevations
which we walked into two days ago, yesterday was good weather, but it
started snowing today heavily again. Lots of people going back down,
so we decided we should too since there is no way to make Throng La
pass with that amount of snow so we are heading back down and going to
Pokara and the other way around. We will be riding mostly once we get
down, but hiking for another two days to get to the jeep road, then
bus to Pokara, then jeep along up to Muktinath over a couple of days
with some short hikes in there i think.

Khem's making some calls and we stopped our hike at 2:30 and will
press on with better weather tomorrow, fresh chicken tonight, so many
stories to tell, everything is awesome so far though

  1. Wow Adam! So cool you are blogging at 9100 feet!! Sorry to hear of bad weather but thankful you are turning around if it's that bad. I think everyone is getting snow except Vancouver for the Olympics which start today. Hope all is well-no altitude sickness...three times higher than Whiteface? Your pictures must be awesome. We are following you every day and thinking of you. Love you very much- Mom and the family :)

  2. Hi Adam! Happy Valentine's Day!! Just looked at your map and saw you had traveled quite a distance to get where you are. Hope all continues to go well for you and your group. Must be cool to see a lot of Nepal. We had received the DVDs you made on Friday- what a great surprise!! I sat right down and watched it and loved it. You did a great job- Katy too! It was really nice to see your life in HK as well as hear your music again. Your background music was awesome as well. Thank you so much for that!! I have given the Nanas and Papas each one to watch too. Kristen has seen it and thought is was great. We all miss you so very much. Thinking of you. Love- Mom

  3. Hi Adam- still tracking you on the map...looks like you have made some ground. You must be looking towards the end in the next few days. This month seems to be going by pretty quickly-not looking spring-like yet here though. Today there is lots of wind and blowing snow, roads aren't great. I am at work right now looking out into the blustery day. Hope all is going well for you and your group. Thanks for the OK the other day. Those two letters keep us going, reassurance you are doing ok. Miss you and love you- Mom :)
